Pre-Finals Commish Corner - Winter Winners!

CONGRATS to our Winter Season Champs!

As we work on the Commish Corner and all the Pictures, here are the winners and Finals game stats:

For Sunday Finals games, we've captured Rebounds and Assists (may not be super accurate!) as well as Points!

and...our 3-Point Champ Gaurave Batta!

He scored 20 of a possible 30 points to take home the $100! (He doesn't wear #3 for nothing!)

Commish Short - Winter Semis Action and Predictions Update!

Predictions Update!

Elite Division

Ninja is OUT! Expansionites prove Commish's Office wrong and get their mojo back by defeating them in an awesome game that went down to the wire!

Now...can they continue the magic and knock off Repeat Offenders?

Sorry guys, we have to stick with RO as they go to break the tie with Ninja for most Elite Championships ever (both teams knotted at 7!)

A/B Division

We nailed it! Uncle Cobras vs. WoodChippers in the Finals!

B/C Division

Nailed it again! Tomb Raiders vs. Black Mambas in the Finals!

40+ A Division

WOW! Upset Special! The Gotem Pirates went down hard at the hands of the highly talented MudSharks, who employed an incredible strategy to frustrate a very disappointed GP team!

But no easier task for them in the Finals against perennial powerhouse HD Chasers! Too close to call - it's whoever shows up hot!

40+ B Division

Yikes! Ante Up fav loses! Not our fault, they only showed up with 5! Sorry, even the best team will struggle with that few players!

So it's HoundDogs and FreeBirds! HoundDogs going for their 11th (yes, 11th!) Legends Championship! Will their BIGs show, unlike the Semis? If they do, they win, if not, they lose badly!

40+ C Division

We're on track! It's TGX vs. Bad Hombres!

Still going with Bad Hombres - they deserve it, since no hardware resides in their homes!

Weeknight League

X-Factor and FirePower in the Finals! We cannot go against the undefeated X-Factor, sorry FirePower, but you cannot compete against such "firepower"!

Weeknight League Playoffs are Here!

The awesome Legends Weeknight League playoffs start tomorrow night with the top half of the draw in action, followed by the bottom half on Thursday!

A full 8 teams are in the draw.

First up, top seed and undefeated X-Factor (8-0) face the deeply struggling MazeRunners (0-8) who clearly are still stuck running around in the maze. But...don't say they have no chance! Coach French has supreme talent on his team! The challenge is, can he get them there all at once, and actually play to their ability! IF he can, they could pull off the miracle!

Seeds 4 vs 5 also tip off tomorrow. The new Legends team Porkin's Dream has the better record (5-3) over the venerable HD Chasers, (who somehow are only 3-5). This one cannot be called accurately, because if HD shows up in full force, Porkin's will have their hands full!

On the bottom draw, one must easily say Volume Integration (6-2), and Firepower (5-3) will get past round 1's opponents Venom and Hoosiers, respectively.

The Commish's Office has to make a call, so we'll go with X-Factor and Volume Integration-2 meeting in the Finals! They have the top two scorers in the league, Bob Ogburn (Volume), and William Kim of X-Factor...Wow, one of those two must be favorites for MVP!

Kim is unstoppable...

..and so is Ogburn!

We then see X-Factor finally getting their championship that has eluded them to this point!

It's been a great season so far...Good luck to all!

Commish Short - Winter Playoffs Predictions!

Winter Season - Playoff Predictions!

As it is a seasonal tradition, the Commish's Office makes its Predictions!

Elite Division

Well, here we go again! We were wrong last season, but will try the same again - Ninja vs. Repeat Offenders (Seeds 1 and 2)! We'll wait to see how they play before picking the winner!

A/B Division

It's hard to go against the top two seeds for the Finals, so we won't! Uncle Cobras vs. WoodChippers!

B/C Division

Seeds 1 and 2 again for the Finals (not willing to go out on a limb here!).

That means Tomb Raiders vs. Black Mambas!

40+ A Division

We're confident to pick Gotem Pirates to go all the way! They are a perfect 8-0, and we see no reason they will stumble in the playoffs!

40+ B Division

Well, we can't go with the top seeds in every division! So here we go - we are getting on the Ante Up bandwagon! They've made some key acquisitions after starting slow, and we are betting on them! See the Aberdeen Brothers in action below!

40+ C Division

This is the toughest division to pick! Between TGX, Squirrely Flyers, and Bad Hombres at the top, it all depends who wants it more, and gets hot!

Let's go with Bad Hombres - they deserve it, since no hardware resides in their homes!

Last Regular Season Week - Key Match-Ups for All-Important Tournament Seeding!

With just one more week of regular season play, below are the key matches which will determine the top seed in these divisions as they enter the playoffs! All other teams also jockey for the best seed they can get too - Good Luck, all!

Elite

Repeat Offenders are in first place, but will be facing the only team they lost to - yup, you guessed it - defending champ Ninja! Wow! What a match-up! Whoever wins this game gets the top seed!

40+ B

The FreeBirds are matched up again against Bucket List, whom they showed no mercy last time, decimating them 57-32! Will Bucket List come to play this time? Incentive is - winner gets top seed!

40+ C

Squirrely Flyers vs. Bad Hombres! Winner gets #1 seed if TGX also loses! Is it Bad Hombres' time? We'll see!

Can Gotem Pirates continue their perfect run at 7-0?
